Lets do this

Okay, so I have done blogs before, but this one is for me.  I want a place to record my thoughts, dreams and just daily stuff.  Yes there will be pictures and to others this may be boring but it's a chance for me to put down the things I want to remember 10 and 50 years to come (if internet still exists in the next 50 years). 

This summer has been a great one for many reasons.  One, it's been gorgeous outside and I have spent lots of time hanging out there.

I had an amazing trip to Seattle with a couple colleagues and enjoyed getting to know them on a different level.

I've spend many mornings, afternoons and evenings hanging out with some great friends and family members.

Busiisi's business is flying and off the ground and keeping me VERY busy. 

But the best reason of all is that I have had the chance to spend it with one little man that brightens up my day and just makes everything all better. 

Speaking of this little man, he has grown up so much in the last week.  He is experimenting with words and is connecting so many things together.  It's fun to watch his brain make connections and learn new things.  He is a book man.  We sit most of the day and he brings me books.  We flip through the pages, read the stories (or make them up when we get sick of hearing the same words over and over again), point at the pictures, make noises and then do it all over again with another book.  It's fun to see the excitement on his face when he brings a book over to me, signs please, smiles and jumps a little out of excitement.  This is good for a teacher mom to have a kid who loves books.  Now if we can just keep him from eating them and ripping them apart out of excitement we will be okay!
